The book of Revelation
completes the Bible. To put that the other way round,
the Bible would be incomplete without it. As surely
Genesis gives us understanding of how things were at the
very beginning, so the book of Revelation shows us where
history is heading. Both books take us far beyond
information we can acquire by our own knowledge.
If there is one word above all others that would
describe the book of Revelation it is the need for
patient endurance. If that doesn’t sound the most
dynamic or attractive of qualities, don’t switch off . .
. read on. It is the very word of God that is going to
speak as we encounter the living God afresh!

Part 9
- Trusting the Sovereignty of God
-
mp3 file
This talk touches on a theme that is
everywhere implicit and sometimes explicit in Scripture: the
sovereignty of God: a vitally important theme, but one that is
easily misunderstood. Once again the music that accompanies the
message is exquisite, comprising a beautiful string piece by
Corelli, a double violin concerto by Bach (Francis Cummings and
Susannah Herzog) and ‘Chanson d’aube’ - one of a number of
pieces that Linda Entwistle wrote for the recording weekend. We
hope you will find it a blessing.
As it is usually what the Lord says directly to us that makes
the most impact, I have included an opportunity to reflect in
the Lord’s presence over particular episodes in our lives.

Pastorale by Corelli, and, for meditation, a few minutes of an
exquisitely beautiful piano concerto by Mozart played on two
pianos by Jo Foote and Christiane von Albrecht.
