Stories
We have
received a number of testimonies of the wonderful ways God
was working during the week and hope to be able to share
some of them with you soon.
If you would
like to donate stories, please email them to

in the subject line.
The
conference was unique in so many ways and I believe the
ramifications will flow on for some time. The new place for
Shetland / Shetlanders is so important. And although there
may be a slight dropping back in the immediate I am sure
that the ground will soon be made up again. I salute you
both for your courage, faith and examples. (Martin Scott)
Thank you so
very much for a tremendous conference and the report
you've sent.
It was a joy
and privilege to spent time in fellowship with all of you
and be blessed and challenged by all the inputs from
speakers and yourselves.
I believe that
the time was a watershed in Shetland's history and future,
and in the Lord's timing for His plans for His Kingdom in
Britain and Europe.
Thank you
very, very much for all that you planners put into this
extraordinary 8 days.
Hi
there,
This is just a quick note to say thank you so much for
honouring God by holding Fire from the North on Shetland. It
was an amazing time, I'm feeling slightly culture shocked
back in
Stirling. (Fiona)
Thank you
so so much for the wonderful reports you have been
sending. I wept myself through the Saga and find the latest
report from the delegates truly overwhelming.
(Mary)
Thank you
and bless you both for "Fire from the North".The cold
Northerly wind was very significant - how else is the "fire"
to spread southward without that strong wind? God shows us
in many ways how His plans are unfolding.
(from
Malvern)
Fire From the North was indeed awesome - the only
word I can use to describe it. I tell people you have to
expereince that depth in God personally - it's
indescribable. All these years I've heard about judgement
and revival, but something just "clicked" this time. I can
see where Britain is heading and the need for urgent prayer
- to that end Hazel and I are meeting together tomorrow to
pray and seek God - the first of many such meetings we hope!
It was also such a precious time seeing God restore music to
the Shetlander christians - may this truly be outworked
through the churches.
Personally I was extremely blessed by praying with Guy,
Jennie and Hazel after a meeting one evening, and having
prophecies confirming what Geoff and I have held in our
hearts since we met and through our 19 years of marriage. I
experienced an explosion of power with prophecy during the
week - something I have only known on the odd occasion. I
need the Lord to refine me more and more to be able to
handle it though!!
God has changed me, I certainly have more boldness, yet it's
so natural! Alec (my 13 year old son) and I prayed with a
friend's son today ( a school pal of Alec's) who has been
ill for 3 weeks with a chest infection. May the Lord reveal
himself to them - we've been watching Him gently working in
them for years!
I feel certain that God touched us all with his fire, and
the word about the time capsules is such an encouragement -
many nations will be touched as a result of the conference -
may it be to His glory!
I could write reams and reams expressing my thanks and
gratitude to so many who took part, both obvious leaders and
those who worked behind the scenes. (Hilary)
I am SO grateful to you both and to all the leaders and organisers who
made last week possible and most of all to our precious Lord
with out whom nothing would be possible.
With lots of love,
Sue
I was
very interested about the prayers for
Africa on the area of
repentance I have felt that in my spirit for a long time and
it is interesting that attention is being given to the
subject . . . Michelle
Words are
inadequate to express the importance of last week in my
life… (Jennie)
Thanks
for organising Fire from the North which we found inspiring
- especially the last morning after the rather weird Monday
night. The apology was such a wonderful example of what it
means to confess to God, and it brought tears to my eyes.
The world would be such a different place if that lesson
could be learnt by everyone. Tom.
Dear Robert,
I have not time to tell all that blessed me and so re-fired
my life as a Christian at present as a result of 'Fire from
the North' but will do so shortly. It was quite simply
life-changing.
Will write again soon. On our way back home I felt led to go
to the Scottish Parliament with Simon and we prayed in the
Main Chamber & got a strong sense of 'job done' for doing
this.
Thanks all that there can be, and
glory to God in the highest
for all that He has done/will do because frankly there is so
much to do/that He will do now I hardly know where to
start.....
Regards,

Dear
Robert and Ros,
I am
really grateful to all that you and the rest of the team did
to organise such a spiritually inspiring and educational
conference. I have come away realising how much more
powerful my prayers can be when I trust God completely -
even if He does lead me in the way I do not expect or want. I
learnt a great deal about world and national affairs by
talking to other delegates, especially at breakfast at the
Anderson School Hostel. I found Patrick's insights into
Islam mind blowing and I now need to process all that he
said.
Finally,
how you and Ros have managed to organise this conference at
the same time as moving, only God knows! May God be with
you in all that he leads you into. Jeremiah 29:11
I loved
exploring Shetland Mainland from North Voe to Sumburgh Head
and the puffins.
Again, a
huge thank you from me and all the other delegates.
Yours in
Christ,
Trish N
From two of the prayer ministry team:
Just to say a huge thank you for all your work and effort
that you did for us. It was really appreciated. We do feel
that this was such a significant time for so many and look
forward to seeing the effects very soon. It was very special
for us and we have a lot to unpack and work through. God
bless you all richly.
All our love
Terry & Del
From the
husband of Robert’s PA for the week:
Angie has kept me well in touch with these "awesome" (her
only word to describe it all!) times.
Thank
you so much for involving Angie in so much, so sensitively.
I think it has been the "time of her life.” I have a feeling
she will never be the same again!
From Ruth K:
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for organising the
conference - it
was such a wonderful time. There was such a sense of God's
presence and
desire to listen to his heart and pray into his agenda. I
was so sorry
to miss the last couple of days but delighted to have been
able to be
part of the event at all. A true taste of heaven.
From
Hazel H:
Just to
say thank you for everything. The conference was marvellous.
Did you know we were fortunate to see killer whales on a
boat trip to Mousa? We were really blessed. I love Shetland
so much it hurts. I just love water and rocks and beaches
and the people are so sweet. We walked on the beach at Noss
too which was great.
I was
encouraged too that the picture I kept getting before the
Conference was right about buried gifts and abilities.
The
conference was tremendous and very stategic!!!!!!!!!!
Barbara
Thank you so much for the
wonderful conference, I didn't know quite what to expect,
but as one of the Shetland Islanders who hasn't lived
there for 30 years I felt both blessed and proud to be
part of 'Fire from the North'.
I have come to realise what a
fantastic Christian heritage I have, and to understand
what I have passed on to my children.
